*Punches him in the arm* Ya know you and yer brother had me and Luce worried sick right?!

*Rubbing his arm* I know. We’re sorry, Bella.

*Runs a hand through her hair* As long as ya know that, if anythin’ were to’ve happened ta either of ya, we’d ‘ve killed ya both. *Sighs and hugs him* I’m glad yer both safe though.

*Walks up to him, as if she’s angry and kisses him hard on the mouth* Do not scare me like that again Connor.

*Sighing against her lips as he kissed her* ‘m sorry, ye know I’d never do it on purpose.

*Wraps her arms around him tight, and fights back tears* I’m so, so happy you’re safe.

“Bless The Broken Road” - Rascal Flatts

I set out on a narrow way many years ago

Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn’t see how every sign pointed straight to you

[Chorus:]
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I’d like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You’ve been there you understand
It’s all part of a grander plan that is coming true

[Chorus]

Now I’m just rolling home
Into my lover’s arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

“Hey there.” Lexie said as she smiled at the girl.

Isabella smiled back at the girl, waving at her shyly. “Hey, I’m Isabella. Who are you?”

“Isabella, nice to meet you. I’m Alexis, but you can call me Lexie.” She said holding out her hand with a polite smile.

Isabella looked at the girls hand and grabbed it, shaking it in a loose grip before letting her hand fall to her side. She looked up at her and smiled a bit, “Nice to meet ya Lexie. Your accent doesn’t sound like it’s from around here.” she said, making an attempt at a conversation.

Lexie nodded her head after the shake before laughing slightly. “I’m from California, the accent.” She waved her hand about dismissively, “And your accent isn’t any better, where are you from?” She asked tilting her head slightly.

Isabella smirked a bit when she said she was from California. The girl was a long way from home. She smiled a bit and bit her lip. “Boston. It seems like we’re both a long way from home.” she said with a laugh.

“Boston?” She repeated with her eyebrows raised, she was far from home. “Yeah seems that way.” She chuckled rubbing the back of her neck. “So any particular reason your so far away?” She asked curiously.

Isabella dug her hands into the pockets of her pea coat, and shifted her weight. She didn’t want to tell the new girl that she was on a search of her long lost father for the soul purpose of giving him a piece of her mind then walking away forever. When it’s put like that, it sounds pretty stupid. She smiled a bit and said, “Tryin’ ta find someone.” she said, keeping it short and sweet. She gestured towards the girl, “And yourself?”

Lexie watched Isabella move about and instantly noticed she felt a bit uncomfortable with the situation or was thinking about the answer to the question. To her answer she just simply nodded and smiled, “I hope you find them.” The question back caused Lexie to laugh a bit, “I can’t really stay in the same place to long.” She said shrugging, she couldn’t exactly say because of hunters moving about, so like Isabella she kept it short and sweet.

She nodded as Lexie spoke, smiling a bit. She could understand the urge to just…pick up and leave. She could also understand the need to travel. She had felt that urge many a times before. She smiled a bit as she wished her luck, “Uh…thanks. I hope that brings me luck.” she said with a bitter chuckle. She looked around the unfamiliar settings. “So, how long have you been here?”
