Good Morning @IsabellaDawn

saintconnorveritas:

He had always been a early riser, up before the crack of dawn so it wasn’t a shock to see him walking down the street cigarette in one hand and a plastic shopping back in the other. He blew the smoke out of his nose as he walked bag towards his loft. he smiled at a few people that pass, he was in a great mood. Waking up next to Isabella had to be the best feeling in the world. She always brought him comfort, chase away the nightmare caused by bus “job.” He snubs his cigarette out on the ground as he walks into the building. He climbs into the elevator, hitting a few buttons and adjusting his pea coat as he rode up. He stepped off the elevator, fishing for his keys as he did. He slowly opens the door, careful not to wake Isabella should she be sleeping still. He smirked as he entered, she laid, burrowed under the blankets in his bed. He closes the door silently, sitting the back on the table as he flipped on the coffee pot and went about making a pot. Soon he sat down at the table, pulling a box of donuts out as well as a newspaper. He kicks back in the chair, opening the paper as he waited for the coffee to brew and Isabella to wake. Of course he found himself stealing glances at her every now and then, noting how adorable she was when she slept.

There had never been a night where her mind was completely at rest. Isabella never once slept completely through the night, having been woken up by nightmares and outside noises. For the first time, sleeping in Connors arms, she was completely at peace with the world. She vaguely remembered him getting out of bed, but she had passed out not even three minutes later. The smell of coffee filling her senses, she cracked one eye open, blinking against the brightness of the room, and sat up slightly. Looking at the clock, she moved so she was upright, the blankets bunched around her as she rubbed her eyes. She moved stood up and ran a hand through her hair, having it still be in the loose ponytail she had fallen asleep in. Seeing Connor at the table, she smiled and couldn’t help but think of how absolutely gorgeous he was. She walked behind him and wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek before moving to the coffee pot. “Good morning love.”

“Mornin Lass, how did ye sleep?”

Smirking a bit as he watched her from over the top of his newspaper. He moved his feet from the chair across from him as he yawned slightly. She was absolutely adorable in the mornings. Once she was close enough he gently took the cup from her hand, pulling her onto her lap and kissed her sweetly.

Isabella smiled as he spoke, still hearing a bit of sleep in his tone. “Amazingly, dear, and yourself?” She poured them both coffee and went back over to the table. He pulled her into his lap and she smiled, returning the kiss while cupping the side of his neck. Turning away quickly, she took a big sip of coffee, ignoring the burn down her throat. Turning back to him, she kissed him again. When she broke the kiss, she giggled and said, “No more morning breath!”

He laughed as he looked at her, kissing her shoulder.

“I slept quite well, had a very pleasant bed mate.”

He joked softly as he opened the box of donuts. He wasn’t sure what she would be in the mood for so he got a few options.

“So, ye think you an Lucy are gonna talk about what happened?”

He asked softly, rubbing her back as he did. He hated to see them at odds when they were just as close as him and Murph.

“Really? Lucy says I move a lot in my sleep.” she said with a shrug. Smiling at Connor she added, “Guess I don’t have to be restless when I have someone I love next to me.” kissing him again. He opened the box of donuts and she made an ooh sound, looking into the box of goodies. She pursed her lips as she decided, picking up a Strawberry frosted donut with sprinkles. Taking a bit of it while still on his lap, she frowned at his mention of Lucy. Taking comfort in him rubbing her back, she took a smaller sip of her coffee, grateful for that warmth. “We will…after we both cool down a bit.” she said calmly, ignoring the lump that formed in her throat. She loved Lucy like a sister, and it killed her for them to have them keep fighting.

“Tis good ta hear, Murph an I have had our moments, but we always find a way ta forgive each other. You an Lucy strike me as tha same way.”

He gave her a reassuring smile as he took a bite of his chocolate glazed donut.

Isabella smiled slightly at his words. They were best friends, which meant they would fight. She just wished they did so more often that way when they actually fought, it didn’t blow up into something huge. Taking another sip of her coffee she turned to face him, “Yeah, you’re right. So, what are our plans for the day?” she asked, trying to detour him from the conversation on Lucy.

“Anythin’ ye want. Tis me day off, tha skies tha limit.”

He said softly as he kissed her cheek.

Isabella smiled and turned in his lap so that she was facing him, her legs on either side of his. She snaked her arms up around his neck and kissed him softly. “Today seems like a good park day.” she said with a smile. Truth be told, she had been meaning to get in some physical work, whether it be the gym or playing football with her boyfriend it didn’t matter to her.
